Dr. Mustafa Ansari, Chief Justice of the African American Reparations Tribunal and International Human Rights attorney will appear on the Bill Anderson Show on April 26, 2006 at 8:00am EST. Bill Anderson is the host of a morning show on WURD 900AM in Philadelphia which airs Monday through Wednesdays from 7-10AM EST. It has been relayed to Dr. Ansari that the listening audience of WURD 900 A.M. is extremely interested in the international reparations campaign. Dr. Ansari will not only discuss what he hopes to accomplish at the conferences in Ghana and Benin, but the "right of return" for the descendants of African slaves, along with status of the Africans in the Diaspora. At some point, Dr. Ansari's soon to be released book, "The Ballots" A Reparations Guide will come up we are sure. This ground breaking book explains in measured steps the correct way to achieve reparations in this lifetime, using International Law. Dr. Ansari's pragmatic approach to writing this template for reparations cannot be understated. With the launching of the International Reparations Campaign, it is incumbent upon those of us involved to educate the global African family on the international approach we are taking with respect to reparations and the human restorative model. With the National plebe cite vote looming in 2008, international education is needed to explain why reparations are an International Human Rights issue as opposed to a domestic one and why we have not seen progress using domestic methods. Careful study of International Human Rights law has revealed built in remedies for redress for the genocide of millions of Africans. This genocide did not end with the taking of African souls from the continent, it continued unabated with the colonization of those left behind, still grieving over the disappearance of their loved ones. The world-wide announcement of the Reparations and Reconciliation campaign has peaked the interest of thousands Africans from the Diaspora to the Continent. We intend to educate to liberate. Princess Ademide Adinasse and her brother, Dr. (Prince) Japhet Affo, have been of great help in this endeavor by working with their family, the Traditional rulers on the appropriate nomenclature for what happened to us in the Diaspora. The Princess' father, the Oba Alaketu stands squarely behind his daughter as she works to build the bridge between the Diaspora and the Continent. Says Princess Adinasse, "when you take a person from their homeland against their will, that's not slavery, that's the crime of kidnap. When you take sex from our women without their permission, that's not slavery, that's the crime of rape. When you cut off a man's foot to instill fear and beat him until he is scarred for life because he ran for freedom, that is not slavery, that is terrorism. And when you take millions of souls from their homeland, their culture, their mores, their ethics, their language and their religion, that is most certainly not slavery, but genocide. To call it anything but what it really was lessens the impact of what occurred. Due to the fact this was indeed genocide, the approach to the human restorative process must address the totality of the damages." Also on the agenda will be what he hopes will be accomplished at the Reparations and Reconciliation Conference scheduled in Ghana and Benin this summer, along with our majestic return to Ouidah in Benin, and the long awaited family reunion planned by the Traditional Rulers and Tribal Chiefs in Benin and parts of Yorubaland. Ouidah was the largest slave port in West Africa and millions of our people were sold and stolen into what has become the most horrific case of genocide the world has ever seen in history. Dr. Mustafa Ansari is also author of the soon to be released groundbreaking book, "The Ballots" A Reparations Guide, and he will go into detail why we are Indigenous people as opposed to minorities. Over the past two years, WURD-900AM has established itself as an important institution in the Philadelphia area. WURD-900AM is an African American owned and focused talk radio station, with a listening audience that consists primarily of African Americans between the ages of 35 and 64. By providing an important conduit for information and dialogue the station serves an essential need within Philadelphia's African American Communities. LEVAS Communication is the parent company of WURD 900AM and was founded upon the principle that communication and dialogue are central components to empowerment. The word LEVAS is an acronym for "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and acknowledges the reality that no voice is special until it is heard. The show is able to be heard in Metro Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware. Also scheduled in the coming weeks will be an appearance on LIBRadio, Town Hall meetings on Yoruba Oduduwa Radio and MoBetta Radio. Dr. Ansari will lecture on Nation Building on Black Soul Power Radio, along with scholars such as Dr. Valentine Ojo, Dr. Nikitah Imani, Dr. Dan Fodio, Dr. Abass, Angela Molette, C. Sade Turnipseed, Chief Obalumi Ogunseye, Sister Leonna Brandao and Baba Sekou Olayinka. Grassroots organizers such as Ayotunde Lawanda Coleman and Kwaku Bandele will make an appearance on efforts to put in place the Mbongi piece authored by Dr. Nikikah Imani and each forum will be moderated by Tijuan Muhammad.
